After a Hurricane, you MUST dry the structure!
Hurricane season has arrived! Knowledge makes you a seasoned pro! Or we can be your professional, whichever works for you!
When your home or business floods or has damage that affects exterior walls in your home or business, don't forget the insulation! It becomes saturated with water and is very difficult to dry out before mold or mildew might occur. It also carries bacteria from whatever the flood water happened to touch on its way inside your home!
We have found in our experience that removing the drywall or sheetrock then removing the wet insulation is the quickest and safest remedy for wet walls.
Once that is removed we apply an antimicrobial treatment and then use dehumidification and air movers to dry out the structural components quickly.
We are here to help at SERVPRO of North Clay County/Oakleaf/North Middleburg located in Orange Park, Florida. Call us anytime day or night @ 904-861-8870 and we will be glad to answer your questions.
